On January 18, Deadlock introduced four new heroes, sparking excitement among players. Just a few days later, the developers rolled out balance adjustments to ensure the game remains fair and engaging. Holliday's ability, Crackshot, now triggers on units and uses half its cooldown in such scenarios, adding a strategic layer to gameplay. Meanwhile, Calico's ability, Ava, has been enhanced to destroy objects she encounters, opening up new tactical possibilities.
The patch didn't stop with the new heroes; it also brought updates to older characters. Kelvin's health saw an increase from 600 to 650, enhancing his survivability. On the other hand, Vendicta experienced a reduction in bullet speed from 810 to 740 and a decrease in movement speed from nine to eight, aiming to balance her dominance in the game. In total, 11 heroes, including the newcomers, received targeted adjustments to refine their roles and impact on the battlefield.
Currently, Deadlock remains in closed beta, yet it boasts a robust online player count that fluctuates between 7,000 and 20,000. This consistent engagement showcases the community's dedication and the game's growing popularity, even in its developmental stage.
