V Rising Hits Impressive Sales Landmark
V Rising, the vampire survival game, has achieved a remarkable milestone: exceeding 5 million units sold! Stunlock Studios, the developer, celebrated this achievement and announced ambitious plans for a major 2025 update.
This update promises to significantly expand the game, introducing a new faction and revamped PvP options, including dedicated duel arenas and safer PvP encounters where players don't lose their blood type upon death (as previewed in update 1.1). The update will also feature a new crafting station, enabling players to optimize endgame gear with stat bonuses.
Further enriching the gameplay experience, a new region will be added to the north of Silverlight, introducing challenging new bosses and expanding the game world. This expansion, coupled with an improved progression system and the introduction of ancient technology, aims to "redefine" the V Rising experience.
Stunlock Studios CEO, Rickard Frisegard, emphasized that the 5 million sales figure represents not just a numerical milestone, but the thriving community built around V Rising. This success fuels the team's commitment to ongoing development and delivering exciting new content in 2025. The 2022 early access release, followed by the full 2024 launch (including a PS5 release in June 2024), has clearly resonated with players, solidifying V Rising's position as a leading vampire survival game. The upcoming update promises even more engaging combat, exploration, and base-building mechanics.
