While resource abundance varies in NieR: Automata, the demand for materials, especially for weapon upgrades, remains high. Dented Plates, a frequently needed resource, can be farmed efficiently using several methods.

Optimal Farming Locations for Dented Plates

Dented Plates are commonly dropped by:

• Small Biped (all variants)
• Small Flyer (all variants)
• Small Sphere (all variants)

These common enemies are prevalent throughout the game. However, relying solely on random encounters isn't the most efficient farming strategy.

The most effective location is the arena where you first encounter Adam.

1. Fast travel to the Desert: Housing Complex access point.
2. Proceed deeper into the ruins and descend to the pit.
3. Enemies, primarily Small Bipeds, will continuously respawn, providing a consistent source of Dented Plates. This location also yields Titanium Alloy.

Alternatively, the Forest Kingdom offers numerous groups of spear-wielding Bipeds. While the individual drop rate might be lower per enemy, these groups often yield at least one Dented Plate collectively. This area also provides opportunities to farm Beast Hide.

Improving Dented Plate Acquisition

Higher-level Bipeds have a greater chance of dropping Dented Plates. Progressing through the story increases your encounter rate with higher-level enemies.
