Meta Stops Selling Quest Pro VR Headset

The Meta Quest Pro is officially discontinued. Meta's website confirms its unavailability, following earlier announcements of its impending end-of-life. Limited remaining stock may exist at retail locations, but availability is dwindling.

The high price point ($1499.99) significantly hampered the Quest Pro's market penetration, unlike the more affordable standard Meta Quest line ($299.99-$499.99). This lack of consumer and corporate adoption led to its discontinuation.

Meta recommends the Meta Quest 3 as a superior alternative. Priced at $499, the Quest 3 offers a compelling "ultimate mixed reality experience" with enhanced specs: higher resolution, refresh rate, and a more powerful processor. It's also lighter than its predecessor.

Furthermore, the Quest 3 maintains the mixed reality functionality of the Quest Pro, enabling users to overlay virtual displays onto the real world. Existing Touch Pro controllers are also compatible with the Quest 3. For budget-conscious users, the Meta Quest 2S, starting at $299.99, provides a more affordable option with slightly reduced specifications.
