Hyungjun "KJoon" Kim, the Game Director behind InZOI, has unveiled intriguing details about the game's inclusion of unusual and paranormal elements. Players will have the unique opportunity to control ghosts, though this feature will be limited to ensure it complements rather than overshadows the core gameplay experience. This ghostly interaction is intricately linked to a karma system that meticulously tracks characters' actions and directly impacts their future lives, extending its influence even into the afterlife.

The karma system plays a pivotal role in determining a character's fate post-mortem. Depending on their deeds, characters may transition peacefully to the afterlife or find themselves as ghosts, bound to wander the earthly realm. For those trapped as spirits, the path to liberation involves accumulating the necessary karma points to finally depart from the mortal world.

In the early access phase of InZOI, players will encounter ghosts, but the ability to control them will be introduced in subsequent updates. Kim emphasized that InZOI fundamentally focuses on simulating real life, and thus, paranormal elements will be subtly integrated. However, he teased the potential inclusion of other mysterious phenomena in future updates, promising an evolving and engaging game world.
