Code Geass Mobile Game Concludes Global Adventure
The strategic tower defense game, Code Geass: Lost Stories, is ending its global mobile run. While the Japanese version will continue, the global servers are shutting down on August 29th, 2024. This means no new downloads, purchases, or logins will be possible after that date. The game's global social media presence will also cease on the same day.
Developed by f4samurai and DMM Games, and published by Komoe, the game launched globally in September 2023, falling short of its first anniversary. The reasons for the closure remain unstated by the developers, but low download numbers and generally unfavorable global reviews likely contributed significantly. Many licensed anime gacha games struggle to maintain a player base outside Japan due to lower player spending in other regions.
Despite its short lifespan globally, the Japanese version continues to thrive. Japanese players interested in experiencing the game can still download it from the Google Play Store.
