Applin Debuts in Pokémon GO: Sweet Discoveries Await!
Get ready for an exciting new event in Pokémon GO: Sweet Discoveries, where the adorable Applin makes its debut. This event is a must-attend for any Pokémon enthusiast, especially if you're eager to add new Pokémon to your collection or hunt for shiny versions. Let’s dive into everything you need to know about this delightful event.
When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?
The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and will continue through April 29th until 8:00 p.m. local time. This is when you'll have your first chance to encounter Applin, a Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon from the Galar region.
To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. For Appletun, you'll require the same number of candies but with 20 Sweet Apples instead. If you're aiming for Dipplin, its final evolution is Hydrapple.
A crucial part of evolving Applin involves collecting Apples. These can appear in the wild during the event. When you tap on them, you might find a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Your chances of encountering Apples increase near Mossy Lure Modules, so make sure to use them strategically.
Did You Know?
Applin lives its entire life inside an apple, cleverly disguising itself to avoid its natural enemies, bird Pokémon. It's not just a strategic move; Applin is also one of the cutest Pokémon in the entire Pokémon GO roster.
During the Sweet Discoveries event, you can grab some new avatar items from the shop, including an Applin Headband and an Applin Apron. Plus, enjoy the event bonus of 2× Candy for catching Pokémon, making your efforts even more rewarding.
Your chances of encountering Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet in the wild will be higher during this event. Additionally, there's an increased chance of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs.
Another fun aspect of the event is the berries. Catching Delibird or Skwovet will result in them dropping berries, adding a sweet twist to your gameplay. Make sure you have Pokémon GO downloaded from the Google Play Store to join in on the fun.
