Zenless Zone Zero Unveils Event for 1.5 Update

A leaked Zenless Zone Zero update reveals a new Version 1.5 event featuring a Fall Guys-style multiplayer platformer game mode. This temporary event, tentatively titled "Grand Marcel," is expected to launch alongside the late January update, which also introduces characters Astra Yao and Evelyn.

Version 1.4 recently added two permanent battle-focused modes, but HoYoverse has a history of incorporating temporary, diverse gameplay events. This follows the current "Bangboo vs Ethereal" event featuring a tower defense mode. The leaked platformer stages bear a striking resemblance to Fall Guys, suggesting a similar competitive, obstacle-course experience. While details are scarce, the event is anticipated to offer rewards such as Polychromes, in addition to the rumored extra free pulls for Version 1.5. It remains unclear whether players will utilize their established characters or Bangboo within this mode.

This isn't HoYoverse's first foray into platformer events; Honkai Impact 3rd's 2022 "Midnight Chronicle" event offered a similar experience using chibi character versions. Given the popularity of Bangboo in Zenless Zone Zero (featured in Hollow Zero mode), their inclusion is a possibility, aligning with player requests for increased Bangboo gameplay opportunities.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.5, slated for January 22nd, will also introduce Astra Yao and Evelyn, and possibly Nicole's first character skin and an Agent Story for Ellen, according to previous leaks.
