The Witcher 3 Reimagined as Epic '80s Fantasy Film
Tech enthusiasts continue to explore the potential of screen adaptations using modern technology, with their sights now set on the Witcher series. Sora AI, a YouTube channel creator, recently unveiled a concept trailer for a Witcher 3: Wild Hunt adaptation.
The trailer's aesthetic is heavily inspired by 1980s films, leveraging the power of neural networks for its creation. The video features numerous recognizable characters from the Witcher universe, including Geralt, Yennefer, Ciri, Triss Merigold, Regis, Dijkstra, Priscilla, and others. While some minor visual alterations are present, the characters remain easily identifiable.
Recently, the developers of The Witcher 3 hinted at plans to incorporate Triss's wedding into the game. Originally conceived as the "Ashen Marriage" quest in Novigrad, the storyline depicts Triss's burgeoning feelings for Castello and her desire for a swift marriage. Geralt aids in the wedding preparations, tasks that include ridding the canals of monsters, procuring alcohol, and selecting a wedding gift.
Interestingly, Triss's reaction is directly influenced by the gift Geralt chooses. Less elaborate gifts receive a lukewarm response, while a memory rose—a familiar item from The Witcher 2—elicits a far more emotional reaction.
