Marvel SNAP's initial Spotlight Cache card for 2025, Victoria Hand, is an Ongoing card that enhances the power of cards generated within your hand. While often categorized as a card-generation archetype staple, Victoria Hand surprisingly excels in discard decks as well. This guide presents two effective decks for Victoria Hand, one for each archetype, to help you integrate her into the current SNAP meta.
Victoria Hand (2–3)

Victoria Hand Deck Synergies
- Victoria Hand boosts cards added to your hand by card generators.
- Agent Coulson, Agent 13, Mirage, Frigga, Valentina, Kate Bishop, and Moon Girl are your primary card generators. (Frigga and Moon Girl also duplicate key cards for added buffs or disruption.)
- Quinjet reduces the cost of generated cards.
- The Collector's power increases with each generated card.
- Cosmo serves as a tech card, protecting Devil Dinosaur and Victoria Hand from enemy attacks.
- Devil Dinosaur is your primary win condition, ideally played after Moon Girl or with numerous generated cards in hand.
Reports suggest Victoria Hand might buff cards generated in the opponent's hand or cards that change locations. Whether this is a bug or intended functionality remains unclear. If not a bug, the card description requires clarification. Regardless, it's a factor to consider when using Victoria Hand decks.
Effective Victoria Hand Gameplay
When playing a Victoria Hand deck, remember:
- Balance card generation and energy management: Aim for a full hand for Devil Dinosaur's maximum growth, while also generating cards and utilizing Victoria Hand's effect. Efficient energy use is crucial; sometimes skipping turns to maintain a full hand is more beneficial than filling the board.
- Employ deceptive plays: Victoria Hand decks generate random cards. Use these strategically as distractions to mislead your opponent.
- Protect your Ongoing lane: Opponents often target Victoria Hand with tech cards like Enchantress. Counter this by playing Devil Dinosaur and Victoria Hand in the same lane (creating an Ongoing setup) and protecting them with Cosmo.
Alternative Discard Deck for Victoria Hand
Victoria Hand is also effective in refined discard decks. Pair her with: Helicarrier, MODOK, Morbius, Scorn, Blade, Apocalypse, Swarm, Corvus Glaive, Colleen Wing, Lady Sif, and The Collector.

Countering Victoria Hand
Super Skrull effectively counters Victoria Hand. Many players use Doctor Doom 2099 decks, which Skrull benefits from, making him a valuable tech card against both Victoria Hand and Doom 2099 lineups.
Other counters include Shadow King (removes Victoria Hand's buffs from one lane) and Enchantress (removes all Ongoing effects). Valkyrie can also disrupt power distribution in key enemy lanes.
Is Victoria Hand Worth Acquiring?
Victoria Hand is a valuable card. Whether obtained through the Spotlight Cache or purchased with Tokens, she offers a strong return on investment. While somewhat reliant on randomness, her permanent buffs allow for consistent deck building. Her compatibility with multiple archetypes (card-generation and discard) makes her a worthwhile addition for many players.
