Unveiling The Division 2's Latest Season: Burden of Truth
Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has kicked off its third season of year six with an intriguing storyline titled "Burden of Truth." This season pulls players deeper into the narrative, tasking them with the mission to find Kelso across Washington, D.C., using her cryptic clues. Along their journey, agents will uncover more about Lau's recruitment and dive into the mysterious "Cassandra" mission.
A highlight of this season is the introduction of the Rogue Momentum system, which revolutionizes combat by incentivizing aggressive playstyles. As players defeat enemies and complete combat objectives, they build up momentum. While regular kills provide a small boost, the system rewards players more generously for critical hits, skill combinations, multi-kills, and eliminating elite enemies, significantly speeding up the momentum meter. As momentum builds, players gain enhanced abilities, such as increased movement speed, faster reloads, higher damage output, and quicker firing rates. When momentum reaches its peak, the Overcharge feature activates, dramatically reducing ability cooldowns.
Alongside the dynamic combat changes, the season brings new weaponry and gear to the table. Those with the Warlords of New York DLC and Year 1 Pass will benefit from an expanded inventory, boasting an additional 50 slots.
New gear highlights include the exotic SMG Oxpecker and the tactical Exodus gloves. Additionally, two new brands, Refactor and Shiny Monkey, introduce fresh gear options, while named weapons such as the Rusty Classic RPK-74 and Goalie FAL come with unique talents that help players tailor their builds to perfection. These additions are available across all platforms, and Ubisoft is keen on receiving player feedback to enhance future updates.
