Tencent Postpones 'The Hidden Ones' Pre-Alpha Test
The highly anticipated pre-alpha playtest for The Hidden Ones, the action brawler based on the popular Hitori No Shita: The Outcast franchise, has been rescheduled. Originally slated for next week, Tencent Games and MoreFun Studios have announced a new launch date of February 27th, 2025. The announcement was made via the game's official website, where further details can be found.
A Deeper Dive into The Hidden Ones
The Hidden Ones immerses players in a dynamic martial arts world steeped in Eastern philosophy, blending Taoism, Yin and Yang principles within a contemporary setting. The game emphasizes character understanding, philosophical depth, and mastery of unique abilities.
Players will unravel a cinematic narrative centered on the lives of the Outcasts, progressing through challenging levels culminating in epic boss battles. These boss encounters are directly linked to chapters within the overarching martial arts saga, evolving in complexity alongside the player's skill development.
Multiple game modes are featured, including a competitive Duel mode for player-versus-player combat and an innovative action roulette mechanic allowing for mid-fight skill acquisition from other characters. A challenging Trial mode offers a gauntlet of increasingly difficult boss battles, demanding mastery of diverse characters and fighting styles.
