In Limbus Company, the level of your Sinners significantly impacts their combat prowess. Just like in other RPGs, it's crucial to level up your team to tackle tougher challenges and progress through the game. Even the most powerful Sinner Identities won't stand a chance against enemies if they're underleveled. Here's a concise guide on the best ways to earn XP for your characters.

For fans eagerly awaiting titles like Ananta and Neverness To Everness, there's a growing desire for a stylish anime game that isn't gacha-based. While HoYoVerse games satisfy the gacha craving, a triple-A experience with the same aesthetic but without RNG monetization would be a refreshing change.

Combat and Grinding --------------------

For new players, the primary method of earning XP is through combat. Every Sinner on your team will gain XP after successfully clearing a combat encounter, whether they fought or not, though active participants receive more XP. However, like many free-to-play gacha games, this process is slow, and as battles get tougher, you'll need more efficient ways to level up.

Once you reach the midpoint of Canto 2, you'll unlock the Luxcavation mode. This mode allows you to challenge specific enemies and earn various rewards. While the battles themselves offer decent XP, the real value comes from the consumable items you can obtain, which are excellent for leveling up.

Using Consumable Items

If you're looking to avoid the manual grind of earning XP, you can use Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets. These consumable items are designed specifically for leveling up characters and come in various rarities.

Identity Training Tickets

Identity Training Tickets provide a fixed amount of XP to an Identity. They serve as level-up materials similar to those found in other gacha games like Honkai Star Rail or Genshin Impact. These tickets can significantly reduce the XP grind, but you'll need many of them to max out a single character. They come in four tiers, each offering progressively more XP:

  • Identity Training Ticket I: 50 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket II: 200 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket III: 1000 Identity XP
  • Identity Training Ticket IV: 3000 Identity XP

You can primarily obtain these tickets by farming the EXP Luxcavation stages. They're also available through the free and paid Limbus Passes, as well as periodic attendance check events.

Level Boost Tickets

Level Boost Tickets instantly elevate your Sinners' Identities to a specific level, bypassing the need for XP. These are far more valuable than Identity Training Tickets, as they act as leveling shortcuts, but they're also much rarer. They're mostly obtained via the Limbus Pass, with occasional availability during attendance check events. Unlike training tickets, they cannot be farmed. The different Level Boost Tickets will raise your characters to the following levels:

  • Level Boost Ticket I: Level 10
  • Level Boost Ticket II: Level 20
  • Level Boost Ticket III: Level 30
  • Level Boost Ticket IV: Level 40

As of now, Identities can reach a maximum level of 50. It's wise to balance the use of Level Boost Tickets and Identity Training Tickets when leveling up multiple characters simultaneously.

To use these consumables, navigate to the Sinners menu and long-press the portrait of the character you wish to level up.
