Path of Exile 2: Uncovering the Hidden Golden Idols

Path of Exile 2 features numerous quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces a unique challenge: collecting five Golden Idols. Unlike typical quest items, these aren't logged and offer a different reward.

Instead of progressing a questline, these Golden Idols are valuable trade items. Their discovery doesn't trigger a quest in your log.

Locating the Golden Idols

After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment and traveling through a time portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present). This ancient Vaal city, at the height of its power, holds the key to your riches.

Three Golden Idols are located within Utzaal, with two more in the connected Aggorat area. These aren't random enemy drops; they're found on the ground or pedestals, often in side rooms.

Cashing In Your Treasures

Once collected, return to the Ziggurat Encampment and seek out Oswald, located in the north. He's your buyer for these unique items.

Selling prices:

• Golden Idol: 500 Gold
• Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
• Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
• Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
• Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Finding all five yields a substantial 6000 Gold reward. Given their limited inventory space and high value, it's advisable to sell them immediately after discovery to maximize your profit and free up space.
