Final Fantasy 14 Offers Returning Players Tons of Free Playtime
Final Fantasy XIV's Free Login Campaign Returns!
Square Enix has re-launched its popular Free Login Campaign for Final Fantasy XIV, giving players with inactive accounts a chance to return to Eorzea for a limited time. This campaign runs until February 6th, 2025, and is available on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
Eligible players can enjoy four consecutive days of free gameplay, with the 96-hour timer starting upon login via the game launcher. Eligibility requires a previously purchased and registered FFXIV account that has been inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign start (January 9th, 2025). Accounts suspended or cancelled due to Terms of Service violations are excluded. Players can verify their eligibility through the Mog Station.
This generous offer coincides with the recent release of Patch 7.15, featuring new side quests within the Dawntrail expansion, including the return of the Hildibrand adventures and a fresh Custom Delivery client. Further updates are planned for 2025, including Patches 7.2 and 7.3, as announced by Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida in his New Year's message. Yoshida also hinted at future directions for the Dawntrail main storyline, sparking much player speculation.
While waiting for the larger content updates, players can also participate in the ongoing Heavensturn event (until January 16th) to earn a special minion reward, and anticipate Patch 7.16 (releasing January 21st), which concludes the Dawntrail Role Quest series. This Free Login Campaign provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to catch up on the Dawntrail storyline before the arrival of Patch 7.2.
