Konami's hit sports-sim eFootball is set to collab with the iconic manga series Captain Tsubasa, bringing characters from the series and a whole lot more. The event will also let you directly control these characters, and get a whole host of rewards just for logging in.

Captain Tsubasa may need a little introduction, but in its native country of Japan, this long-running football-focused series is iconic. Following the exploits of the preternaturally talented Tsubasa Oozara as he journeys from amateur high-school football all the way to competing on the global stage.

The collaboration between eFootball and Captain Tsubasa sees the appearance of the iconic characters in a special Time Attack event where you gather pieces of a Captain Tsubasa-themed artwork which, once completed, will net you distinctive avatars for your profile and more!

That's alongside the Daily Bonus where you can score penalty kicks with a variety of characters, including Tsubasa himself, Kojiro Jyuga, Hikaru Matsuyama and more. Captain Tsubasa creator Yoichi Takahashi has also produced special crossover cards featuring real-life brand ambassadors for eFootball, such as Lionel Messi, rendered in his iconic style. You'll be able to nab these crossover cards by playing through the various events taking place during the collab.
