Gaming insider Jez Corden, in a recent Xbox Two podcast, projected a 2026 release for State of Decay 3. While Undead Labs initially aimed for a 2025 launch, Corden suggests an early 2026 debut is now more realistic.
Corden indicated that development is further along than publicly perceived, though he refrained from offering specifics. This news might disappoint fans, yet it's a more optimistic timeline than previous estimates suggesting a 2027 release.
June's trailer showcased intense zombie gunfights and Mad Max-style vehicular combat in a post-apocalyptic setting. The narrative will unfold years after the apocalypse, focusing on human survivors establishing and defending settlements against the undead.
State of Decay 3 is slated for PC and Xbox Series X|S consoles, a significant timeframe after its predecessor's 2018 release.
