Boxbound helps you experience the stress and strangeness of being a postal worker, coming soon
If you've ever fantasized about the life of a postal worker, navigating the nerve-wracking stress of speedy deliveries and intense pressure, you might find the appeal puzzling. But if this unique thrill is what you're after, the upcoming satirical, story-adjacent puzzler Boxbound could be right up your alley.
In Boxbound, you step into the shoes of a postal worker alongside your colleague Peter. The gameplay is straightforward yet challenging: you'll need to fit various shapes of boxes onto a winding grid before making deliveries while driving through city streets, dodging obstacles. The real twist lies in the unexpected events you'll encounter, from sudden power outages to debris that you must clear from the grid.
And as if that weren't enough, the world outside your postal van is in constant motion. Peter, your ever-reliable coworker, keeps you updated on these bizarre occurrences that dramatically and increasingly strangely affect your workday.
Neither snow, nor rain...
This barely scratches the surface of what Boxbound offers. With a virtually endless array of levels and new package shapes to unlock as you progress, the game promises endless variety. A glance at the trailer hints at the wacky, weird, and somewhat sinister experiences that await.
Set to release on March 31st, Boxbound promises a distinctive charm that will keep players hooked. Personally, while the gameplay might not be my cup of tea, Peter's colorful outfit changes and the chaotic, strange events outside the van, including the delivery of explosives, pique my curiosity. It's a game I feel compelled to explore further.
