Blizzard Announces Six New Warcraft Conventions

Blizzard's Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour: A Global Celebration

Blizzard Entertainment is commemorating three decades of Warcraft with a global tour featuring six conventions across the globe from February to May 2025. These events promise live entertainment, exclusive activities, and opportunities to connect with Warcraft game developers.

Unlike BlizzCon, which Blizzard skipped in 2024, this tour focuses on creating memorable fan experiences rather than major announcements. Following 2024's successful Warcraft Direct and Gamescom appearance, this initiative provides a more intimate setting for fan engagement. The tour celebrates key franchise milestones, including World of Warcraft's 20th anniversary, Hearthstone's 10th, and Warcraft Rumble's first.

The tour kicks off in London on February 22nd and concludes in Boston during PAX East on May 10th, with stops in Seoul, Toronto, Sydney, and Sao Paulo in between.

Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour Dates:

  • February 22 – London, United Kingdom
  • March 8 – Seoul, South Korea
  • March 15 – Toronto, Canada
  • April 3 – Sydney, Australia
  • April 19 – Sao Paulo, Brazil
  • May 10 – Boston, United States (during PAX East)

While specifics remain limited, attendees can anticipate engaging entertainment, unique activities, and developer meetups. Importantly, Blizzard emphasizes these will be "intimate gatherings," with free, limited-availability tickets distributed through regional Warcraft channels. Details on ticket acquisition will be released via these regional channels.

The future of BlizzCon remains uncertain. A traditional BlizzCon, either physical or digital, could still occur later in the year, potentially showcasing the upcoming World of Warcraft: Midnight expansion and its highly anticipated player housing features. However, the success of this World Tour suggests Blizzard may be exploring alternative, smaller-scale events alongside or in place of the larger BlizzCon format. Regardless, securing a spot at the Warcraft World Tour is highly recommended for a unique and engaging celebration of the Warcraft universe.
