Apex Legends ALGS Year 4 Championships Heads to Sapporo, Japan!

The Apex Legends Global Series (ALGS) Year 4 Championships will be held in Sapporo, Japan, marking a significant milestone for the tournament. This event, taking place from January 29th to February 2nd, 2025 at the Daiwa House PREMIST DOME, will be the first ALGS offline tournament in Asia.

Forty elite Apex Legends teams will compete for the championship title. The decision to host the event in Japan reflects the game's substantial player base in the region and numerous fan requests for an Asian-based tournament. EA's senior director of esports, John Nelson, expressed excitement about celebrating this milestone with a tournament at the Daiwa House Premist Dome.

Specific tournament details and ticket information will be released at a later date. Sapporo Mayor Katsuhiro Akimoto welcomed the event, expressing the city's full support for the tournament and its participants.

Before the main event, the Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) will run from September 13th to 15th, 2024. This will be the final opportunity for teams to secure their place in the championships. Fans can watch the LCQ broadcast on the official @PlayApex Twitch channel to see which teams make the cut.
