Season 1 Update: Marvel Rivals Balances Brawlers
Marvel Rivals Season 1: Dracula, Fantastic Four, and Balance Adjustments
Marvel Rivals' Season 1, "Eternal Night Falls," launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, brings a host of exciting changes. Dracula takes center stage as the main villain, while the Fantastic Four join the roster, starting with Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman at launch, followed by Human Torch and The Thing in six to seven weeks.
The Season 1 battle pass, priced at 990 Lattice (approximately $10), offers 10 skins and rewards players with 600 Lattice and 600 Units upon completion. Three new maps and a fresh game mode, "Doom Match," will also debut.
Significant balance adjustments are planned. Hela and Hawkeye, deemed overpowered in Season 0, will receive nerfs. Conversely, mobility-focused Vanguards like Captain America and Venom will get buffs to enhance their effectiveness. Other balance tweaks include improvements to Wolverine, Storm, Cloak and Dagger, addressing player feedback and promoting diverse team strategies. Jeff the Land Shark's early warning inconsistencies will also be addressed, though his ultimate ability remains largely unchanged despite some player concerns.
While NetEase Games remained silent on potential Seasonal Bonus adjustments, the feature’s impact on game balance remains a topic of discussion among players. Season 1 promises a substantial update to Marvel Rivals, brimming with new content and gameplay refinements.
