Power Charges in Path of Exile 2: Explained
Power Charges are a key component in crafting highly effective builds in Path of Exile 2. These charges function differently from their counterparts in the original game, making it essential for newcomers to grasp how to harness their full potential.
Virtually every class in Path of Exile 2 can utilize Power Charges, though some classes have more straightforward access to them than others. Understanding these charges is crucial, as is knowing the best methods to generate and employ them effectively.
What Are Power Charges in Path of Exile 2?
Power Charges can be thought of as tokens that enhance certain skills or skill effects. They don't have an inherent effect on their own, but specific abilities, such as
Falling Thunder, consume them to amplify their power. Generally, Power Charges are not necessary for casting abilities and are not required for most builds. However, they are fundamental to certain specialized builds, like the Tempest Flurry Invoker build in PoE 2.
Power Charges share characteristics with Frenzy and Endurance Charges; none of them have effects by themselves by default. They are used up when a skill that consumes them is activated. Additionally, there might be items or other effects that utilize these charges in unique ways.
