The Pokémon Company International, during the 2024 World Championships, announced the comeback of beloved "Trainer's Pokémon" cards. A teaser trailer showcased trainers like Marnie, Lillie, and N, alongside their Pokémon, hinting at a potential Team Rocket resurgence.

Classic Trainer's Pokémon cards, featuring Pokémon owned by specific characters, were a cornerstone of the original TCG. These cards boasted unique abilities and distinctive artwork. The teaser revealed Lillie’s Clefairy ex, Marnie’s Grimmsnarl ex, N’s Zoroark ex, and N’s Reshiram as examples of this returning mechanic.

Rumors of a Team Rocket expansion have been circulating, with reports of Japanese retailer listings and a trademark filing ("The Glory of Team Rocket") by The Pokémon Company. While unconfirmed, a release seems increasingly likely.

Paradise Dragona Set Debut at World Championships
