Monster Hunter Wilds Patch 1.000.05.00 Fixes Quest Blockers, Among Other Things — but There Are No Performance Improvements Yet
Capcom has released hotfix 1.000.05.00 for Monster Hunter Wilds across all platforms, addressing several crucial improvements and bug fixes. While this patch tackles various progression blockers and glitches, players shouldn't expect performance enhancements, as noted below.
Despite a record-breaking launch, Monster Hunter Wilds currently holds a "Mixed" user review rating on Steam, with performance issues on PC being a major source of complaints. However, the game's success is undeniable: it sold 8 million copies in just three days, becoming Capcom's fastest-selling game ever. It also boasts the fifth-highest concurrent player count in Steam history, peaking at a staggering 1,384,608 players—surpassing even Dota 2, Cyberpunk 2077, and Elden Ring on Valve's platform. This is a significant leap from Monster Hunter: World's peak of 334,684 players.
A significant title update is planned for early April, promising a new endgame area and additional monster hunting content.
