Mecha BREAK to Unlock All Starting Mechs After Feedback
Mecha BREAK, the multiplayer mech game developed by Chinese studio Amazing Seasun, recently wrapped up its open beta on Steam, ending on March 16. The beta attracted over 300,000 players at its peak, making it the 5th most wishlisted game on the platform. In response to extensive player feedback, the developers are now mulling over significant changes, including the possibility of making all starting mechs, known as Break Strikers, available for free from the outset.
During the open beta, players started with access to just one Break Striker. Unlocking the other 11 required grinding through multiplayer matches to earn enough in-game currency for purchases. This process could take considerable time, prompting feedback that influenced the developers' current considerations. Amazing Seasun is exploring adjustments to the availability of Break Strikers and the use of mech modules in both 3v3 and 6v6 competitive modes. However, the studio remains cautious, not yet committing to any changes, as they believe maintaining a live service model at launch is crucial for the game's long-term success.
