In a recent interview with IGN, Konami producer Noriaki Okamura subtly acknowledged the strong fan interest in seeing Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (MGS4) remade and released on modern consoles (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC). While avoiding direct confirmation, Okamura's comments, coupled with the release of Master Collection Vol. 1, strongly suggest a connection. He stated that Konami is actively considering the future of the series and couldn't offer specifics just yet.

The possibility of an MGS4 remake within Master Collection Vol. 2 has been a topic of much fan discussion. The previous release of Master Collection Vol. 1 (containing remastered versions of MGS 1-3 for next-gen platforms) has only amplified this anticipation.

Further fueling the rumors, placeholder buttons for MGS4, MGS5, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker appeared on Konami's official timeline last year, hinting at their inclusion in Vol. 2. Additionally, David Hayter, the English voice actor for Solid Snake, hinted at his involvement in an MGS4-related project on social media.

Despite the mounting evidence, Konami remains officially silent on the contents of Master Collection Vol. 2, leaving fans eagerly awaiting confirmation of an MGS4 remake or port.
