[Guide] Battle Beetles in Genshin Impact's Shuyu Event
Genshin Impact's Shuyu's Baffling Beetle Battle Bowl: A Guide to Victory
Shuyu's Baffling Beetle Battle Bowl is a limited-time event in Genshin Impact Version 5.3, challenging players to beetle battles. This guide simplifies conquering all five battles.
Event Requirements:
To participate, you must:
- Have Adventure Rank 20 or higher.
- Complete the Mondstadt Archon Quest Prologue. While not mandatory, completing Xianyun's Story Quest "Grus Serena Chapter" provides valuable context, as Shuyu is featured in it.
Gameplay:
The event pits your Onikabuto beetle against various enemies in a simulated battle within your Serenitea Pot at Mt. Aocang. Controls are simple: Forward, Backward, and Jump. Mastering timing and stamina management is key, as movement and attacks consume stamina. Powerful attacks, like Piercing Strike (hold attack button), require more stamina.
The Five Battles:
Each of the five stages presents unique challenges:
- Staff Master Who Only Uses Basic Horizontal Sweeps: A basic Hilichurl; consistently target its head, dodging its attacks indicated by ground markings.
- Staff Master Who Waves a Torch About Non-Stop: A Hilichurl Berserker with a Pyro Slime. Its slow movements make it easy to defeat by focusing on its head or the Pyro Slime, particularly when it's preparing to throw it.
- Mumbly-Bumbly Red-Hot Mage: A Pyro Abyss Mage. This enemy is more challenging, utilizing fireballs and flame pillars. Interrupt its attacks to create openings for damage.
- Bouncy, Energetic Mage Who’s Actually Freezing Cold: A Cryo Abyss Mage. Employ the same strategy as with the Pyro Abyss Mage.
- Big Guy Said to be Solid as a Mini Mountain: A Stonehide Lawachurl. Act swiftly, dodging attacks, and target the Geo Slime that appears after consistent hits. Use Piercing Strike on the Slime for optimal damage.
Difficulty and Strategy:
Choose "Focused Fight" (two-star difficulty) for optimal Primogem rewards (30-20 per stage). "Utmost Might" (three-star) unlocks after completing "Focused Fight," offering Mora and Enhancement Ores but no Primogems. Utilize Piercing Strikes strategically. Consult the "Dossier on Opponent" for enemy attack patterns if needed. Co-op mode is available; select "Match" to team up with other players.
Rewards:
Complete all stages on Utmost Might difficulty to earn 420 Primogems. Additional rewards include Hero's Wit, Sanctifying Unction, Mora, and Mystic Enhancement Ore.
The event concludes January 13, 2025, at 03:59 Genshin Impact server time. Don't miss out on these rewards! Genshin Impact is available now.
