ETE Chronicle: JP Server Pre-Registration Now Open with Unique Game Version
The much-anticipated pre-registration for the JP server of ETE Chronicle:Re is now live! If you've been eager for a game that lets you soar through the skies, dive into the ocean, and conquer the land alongside a squad of fierce female warriors, your wait is finally over.
Let's get you up to speed on the game. ETE Chronicle initially launched in Japan but met with a lukewarm reception due to its unexpected gameplay. Fans were expecting a high-octane mecha action game but found themselves navigating a turn-based system, which disappointed some. Responding to the feedback, the developers revamped the game for its Chinese release, turning it into a true action-packed title.
This updated version, now known as ETE Chronicle:Re, is set to replace the original JP release, which will be discontinued. Players who invested in the old version will have their investments transferred to the new one, ensuring a smooth transition.
The Storyline: A Future in Ruins
ETE Chronicle:Re immerses you in a future where chaos reigns supreme, with humanity locked in an endless struggle. The Yggdrasil Corporation, after acquiring extraterrestrial remnants, developed the Galar, a tactical exoskeleton. With this advanced technology and their massive orbital base, Tenkyu, they transformed Earth into a war-torn wasteland.
Survivors rallied together to form the Humanity Alliance, fighting back with their secret weapon: girls piloting the E.T.E., a new breed of combat machines. As an enforcer in this world, you'll join them in the battle. Every decision you make will not only impact the fight but also the fate of these characters, making your role as enforcer crucial.
Let's dive into the battle mechanics of ETE Chronicle:Re. With four characters under your command, you must think fast and act even quicker. The game’s half-real-time system means you're always adapting your strategies on the fly as you navigate through enemy fire.
Despite the excitement for the reboot, some players remain skeptical due to their experience with the previous version. They found the constant running and shooting loop monotonous, as enemies maintained a fixed distance that made flanking impossible. The movement system, which controlled the entire party simultaneously without individual character control, led to repetitive and frustrating battles. Will ETE Chronicle:Re address these issues? We'll have to wait and see.
Pre-register for ETE Chronicle:Re before August 18th to snag some freebies. Five winners will receive a 2,000 yen Amazon gift certificate. You can pre-register on their official website or the Google Play Store.
