Elden Ring: Nightreign Prepares for Console Debut

FromSoftware's upcoming title will initially be tested only on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Registration opens January 10th, with testing slated for February. This excludes a large portion of the fanbase from early access.

Bandai Namco has yet to explain the omission of PC players from this initial testing phase. However, those selected for console testing will enjoy exclusive early gameplay before the official launch.

Elden Ring: Nightreign continues the narrative of its predecessor, offering a chilling new experience. Console gamers gain a head start, while PC gamers await news of potential future testing opportunities.

A notable change in Elden Ring: Nightreign is the removal of the in-game message feature. Director Junya Ishizaki cited time constraints as the reason. With each play session lasting around forty minutes, there's insufficient time for message interaction.

Ishizaki stated, "The messaging feature was disabled due to the limited time available for sending and reading messages within the approximately forty-minute sessions."
