Crusader Kings 3 Devs Share Initial Insights on Nomad-Themed DLC

Paradox Interactive has revealed initial details about their upcoming Crusader Kings 3 expansion, centered around nomadic rulers. This DLC introduces a revolutionary governance system specifically designed for nomadic gameplay. A new in-game currency, "herd," will determine the ruler's power and influence various aspects of gameplay, such as military might, cavalry unit composition, and the dynamics of relationships between rulers and their subjects.

The nomadic lifestyle necessitates constant movement. A chieftain's migration patterns will be shaped by interactions with settled populations – diplomacy or forceful displacement.

Furthermore, rulers will command transportable yurts, functioning similarly to adventurer camps. These yurts can be upgraded with various components to provide significant advantages.

The expansion will also feature iconic yurt towns that nomadic rulers transport, mirroring the adventurer camp mechanic. These mobile settlements can be enhanced with additional structures offering diverse functionalities.
