In an interview with GamesRadar, creative director Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz clarified the game's ambition. Despite being a smaller team's debut title, they aspire to AAA standards, citing The Witcher 3 as their benchmark for quality. While acknowledging the game's smaller scope compared to established AAA titles, Tomaszkiewicz emphasized a commitment to robust quality.

The team at Rebel Wolves comprises ex-CD Projekt Red developers, bringing substantial experience from titles like The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077. The studio's formation allowed for greater creative freedom than working within a larger AAA environment.

Tomaszkiewicz anticipates a 30-40 hour main campaign. He challenged the notion that playtime directly equates to AAA status, pointing out that shorter, high-quality games exist within the AAA space.

The Blood of Dawnwalker is a narrative-driven, open-world dark fantasy RPG set in Vale Sangora. Players assume the role of Coen, a peasant granted vampiric powers, embarking on a quest to save his sister while navigating a challenging world.

Currently, there's no firm release date, but a gameplay reveal is planned for Summer 2025. The game is slated for release on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
