BlizzConline: World of Warcraft Unveils New Feature

World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 introduces customizable character select screen backgrounds, called campsites. Four new campsites are initially available, with more promised in future updates.

Patch 11.1 adds four new campsites to the original "Adventurer's Rest":

The Ohn'ahran Overlook is automatically unlocked upon logging in after the patch. The remaining campsites require completing specific in-game achievements. All campsites can be managed and previewed in the updated Collections tab.

The character select screen now features a dedicated campsite tab, enabling easy selection and even random selection of favorite backgrounds. This expansion on the Warbands system suggests Blizzard plans to continue adding more customization options in future updates, potentially through various avenues including new content, events, the Trading Post, and even the in-game shop.
