Early in the game, you'll encounter seemingly impenetrable, living wooden barriers. Standard attacks are ineffective. The solution requires reaching a significant height and executing a special attack.
How To Destroy Wooden Barriers
At the game's start, choose from three weapons: Ruego al Alba (balanced), Veredicto (powerful but slow), and Sarmiento & Centella (fast but lower damage). Each weapon serves a unique purpose. Veredicto interacts with blue bells, Sarmiento & Centella with teleportation mirrors, and Ruego al Alba is crucial for destroying wooden barriers.
The ability to destroy these barriers is acquired later in the game. Once obtained, locate the barrier, ascend to a sufficient height, and perform a plunge attack (left joystick down + X on Xbox, Square on PlayStation). An insufficient height will cause the barrier to crack but not break, indicating the need for a higher vantage point. The Passage of Ash ability (double jump) proves invaluable here.
This plunge attack is also effective in combat, particularly against large groups or less resilient foes. Overcoming these barriers unlocks valuable items, new areas, and optional boss encounters, enriching the overall gameplay experience.

Choosing the best weapon is subjective. Veredicto delivers substantial damage but at a slower pace. Sarmiento & Centella prioritizes speed over raw power. Ruego al Alba provides a balanced approach. Ultimately, all three weapons are essential for both combat and exploration to fully appreciate Blasphemous 2.
