Microsoft's Apology Resolves Enotria Xbox Release Delays
Jyamma Games Expresses Gratitude to Phil Spencer and the Community
Jyamma Games publicly acknowledged Microsoft's apology for delays in the Xbox certification process for Enotria: The Last Song. The developer had previously voiced frustration over a two-month period of silence from Microsoft, leading to an indefinite postponement of the Xbox release. Jyamma CEO, Jacky Greco, had initially expressed concern on Discord, stating the company's inability to proceed with submission and release due to the lack of communication.
However, following Microsoft's outreach and apology, Jyamma Games took to Twitter (X) to thank Phil Spencer and his team for their swift response and assistance. The studio also extended its gratitude to the player community for their vocal support, emphasizing the impact of player advocacy.
Jyamma Games confirmed ongoing collaboration with Microsoft, expressing hope for a prompt Xbox release.
Greco further elaborated on the Discord server, confirming Microsoft's apology and their collaborative efforts to resolve the situation.
This situation highlights challenges faced by some studios during Xbox releases. Funcom recently reported optimization issues porting Dune: Awakening to Xbox Series S. While the PS5 and PC versions of Enotria: The Last Song are still slated for September 19th, the Xbox release date remains uncertain.
