Space Marine 2 Reveals Techmarine, Chaos Mode & More

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is gearing up for its second year of downloadable content, with significant details emerging about the massive 10.0 update.

The critically acclaimed Space Marine 2 has surpassed 7 million sales, prompting publisher Focus Entertainment and developer Saber Interactive to confirm continued Year 2 support. A recent community announcement revealed plans for new cooperative missions, adversary types, armaments, and additional undisclosed content.

Originally launched in September 2024, the title will celebrate its first anniversary with a substantial September update. While Patch 10.0 appears transformative, players should note that Patch 9.0 will arrive first. Originally slated to introduce a player-versus-player mode, this feature has been postponed to 10.0, leaving 9.0 focused solely on gameplay balancing.

We've gained insight into this forthcoming PvP innovation - a chaotic confrontation pitting Chaos forces against themselves on fresh battlegrounds. Most notably, combatants will commandeer the formidable Helbrute war machine. For newcomers, the Helbrute represents a corrupted variant of the Chaos Dreadnought, housing a tormented Chaos Space Marine within its armored frame. Veteran players may recall its dramatic encounter with Ultramarine Brother Valtus during the campaign. Alongside this mode arrives highly anticipated Chaos armor sets, long requested by the community.
