Netflix Unveils Devil May Cry Anime Opening Trailer, Hints at Multi-Season Arc

Following the announcement of the Devil May Cry anime's premiere date, Netflix dropped the series' electrifying opening trailer. Set to Limp Bizkit's iconic "Rollin'," the trailer showcases dynamic action sequences featuring a young Dante, Lady, and the enigmatic White Rabbit, peppered with nods to the game franchise.

Showrunner Adi Shankar elaborated on his creative vision. The series, set in the late 90s and early 2000s, will feature a soundtrack reflecting the era's musical landscape, including tracks beyond Limp Bizkit and a synthwave remix of the game's soundtrack by Power Glove.

Shankar further hinted at a multi-season plan, stating that future seasons will boast distinct visual styles and soundtracks to mirror the diverse nature of the Devil May Cry games.

While plot specifics remain under wraps, the first season is anticipated to adapt elements from the Code 1: Dante manga (based on Devil May Cry 3), focusing on a young Dante's investigation into a child's disappearance. This investigation will inevitably confront Dante with his past, family, and his demonic father Sparda's legacy.

The eight-episode first season is slated to premiere on April 3, 2025.
