Torchlight: Infinite Season 8: Sandlord Launches This Month

Torchlight: Infinite's next chapter, Season 8: Sandlord, is set to launch on April 17th, promising a significant transformation for the action RPG. This season introduces a variety of new features, including the mesmerizing Cloud Oasis and a complete overhaul of the Deep Space area.

In Season 8, players won't just be battling through hordes of monsters; they'll be building an empire in the skies with the innovative Sandlord mechanic. The Cloud Oasis is a new hub where players can engage in economic gameplay, trading resources, managing workforce, and overseeing production lines to construct their very own aerial stronghold.

Thea makes a comeback this season with an intriguing twist. Her new trait, Blasphemer, sees her trading divine powers for the curse of Desecration. This curse begins weakly but scales significantly, amplifying Erosion damage based on her remaining blessing power. Players can further enhance this into area-of-effect explosions or health-scaling effects, ideal for enthusiasts of damage-over-time mechanics and complex synergies.

Endgame content is receiving substantial enhancements as well. Deep Space has been revamped with five new stages, expanded maps, and more challenging enemies. Players can now adjust risk and rewards with the new Probes system, where each Probe increases the challenge but also the potential for better loot, including Compass chests from the Compass Probe.

The update also brings the Blending System for belt crafting, enabling players to fuse Hero Traits, Talent nodes, and unique affixes into a single item slot, offering more profound build customization. Additionally, a new boss, Night Slayer – The Wilting Plume, joins the fray on the 20th floor of Supreme Showdown and in Plane Watcher.

Coinciding with the launch, the Sands of Fortune anniversary event will run from April 17th to May 1st. Players can complete tasks, earn Gold Rush Attempts, and vie for a share of a $250,000 prize pool.
