Tides of Annihilation: a beautiful action game announced

Tides of Annihilation, drawing inspiration from Arthurian legend, casts players as Gwendolyn, a young woman battling alongside spectral knights to rescue her family and mend a fractured world.

The game unfolds in a ravaged, modern-day London, overrun by a mysterious otherworldly invasion. Players will confront waves of enemies alongside their ghostly allies, the most formidable being colossal, roaming knights that demand strategic combat, requiring players to scale and engage in intense close-quarters battles.

While visually impressive, the game's familiar narrative based on the well-trodden King Arthur mythos currently hinders its appeal. Recent successful soulslike games have successfully reimagined lesser-known stories, such as "Journey to the West" and the twisted tale of Pinocchio in Lies of P. Unfortunately, Tides of Annihilation, despite its visual splendor, lacks a similarly unique and compelling narrative hook.
