Streamer Achieves Full Combo on Notorious Guitar Hero Track at Double Speed
Clone Hero streamer and content creator CarnyJared has achieved an extraordinary feat by completing a full combo (FC) of DragonForce's challenging Guitar Hero 3 song, Through the Fire and Flames, at an astonishing 200% speed. This monumental achievement was shared with his audience on February 27, marking the culmination of a nine-month journey dedicated to mastering this song.
In his video description, CarnyJared expressed profound gratitude to his supporters, stating, "IT. IS. OVER." He acknowledged the crucial role his community played in his success, emphasizing their unwavering support throughout his rigorous practice sessions. "I am rightfully thankful for everybody that has supported me throughout this ridiculous grind. I have the best supporters on the entire platform of Twitch and YouTube," he remarked.
The complexity of Through the Fire and Flames is already notorious at regular speed, but CarnyJared's performance at 200% speed showcases an incredible level of skill and dedication. Completing the song in just over three minutes, he successfully hit all 3,722 notes without a single miss, an achievement that underscores the intensity of his nine-month preparation.
CarnyJared's journey to this FC was not easy; the on-screen statistics from his stream reveal that he managed nearly 2,000 FC runs past the song's first bridge, 662 past the second, and only 227 times reaching the solo section. This recent 200% FC is only the fourth time he successfully navigated the solo, highlighting the song's difficulty even at this accelerated pace.
Reflecting on his achievement, CarnyJared shared his heartfelt thanks to his family and supporters, who stood by him through the highs and lows of his endeavor. "This is a moment that will live with me forever," he said, acknowledging the life-changing support he receives from his community, which allows him to sustain his career playing Clone Hero.
Describing the FC as the "hardest thing" he's ever done, CarnyJared's celebration is well-earned and reflects the monumental effort invested over the past nine months. For those eager to delve deeper into this remarkable achievement, CarnyJared has announced plans for a comprehensive documentary, expected to be over an hour long, to be released in the coming months.
