Square Enix Announces End of Service for Romancing SaGa Re:universe Global
Romancing SaGa Re:universe global version will cease operations on December 2nd, 2024, marking the end of its journey. The decision may spark varied reactions among players. Meanwhile, the Japanese version will continue unaffected.
Final Two Months to Play
As previously noted, the game’s shutdown is set for December. Sales of items requiring paid jewels and Google Play Points exchanges stopped after the final maintenance on September 29th, 2024.
Launched globally in June 2020, the game concludes after four years of mixed reception. Despite stunning visuals, robust audio, and a generous gacha system, Romancing SaGa Re:universe garnered varied feedback.
The Japanese version enjoys widespread popularity, but the global edition lacked key updates like Solistia and 6-star character upgrades, available in Japan for nearly a year. This absence likely influenced its closure for some players.
What Do You Think?
Square Enix, the game’s developer, has terminated several titles this year, including Final Fantasy: Brave Exvius and two Dragon Quest mobile games. Now, Romancing SaGa Re:universe global joins the list.
Rooted in the iconic SaGa series, this turn-based RPG offers two more months for players to engage. Newcomers can still explore it via the Google Play Store.
