Sonic Rumble Pre-Release Event: Monkey Ball, Altered Beast Crossover
While the global release of Sonic Rumble is still on the horizon, set for May 8th, the game is already gearing up for its first exciting crossover event. This isn't just any crossover; it's a celebration of Sega's iconic past and present stars, bringing a nostalgic yet thrilling twist to the game.
Interestingly, this crossover event will kick off before the game's worldwide launch, exclusively for those in regions where Sonic Rumble is currently in soft launch. From now until May 7th, you have the chance to claim the Werewolf character, inspired by the classic game Altered Beast, absolutely free.
For those who subscribe to the Sega Star Event Pass, there's even more to look forward to. You'll unlock access to another character from Altered Beast, the Weredragon, along with Sega's original mascot, Opa-Opa from the beloved arcade game Fantasy Zone.
But that's not all! The in-game Ring Shop will offer additional characters such as Upa-Upa and the Werebear, while the Red Star Ring Shop will feature characters from Super Monkey Ball, including AiAi and MeeMee.
It's quite unusual to see such an event before the official release, but those fortunate enough to participate in the soft launch will surely enjoy getting their hands on these iconic characters. And according to Sega, this is just the beginning of an action-packed calendar filled with crossovers and collaborations planned for Sonic Rumble.
On a different note, if you're interested in upcoming releases, keep an eye on Finnish developer Supercell. They're preparing to launch another intriguing game soon.
