Sonic the Hedgehog 3 raked in a remarkable $218 million domestically and over $420 million globally, solidifying its position as the highest-grossing Sonic film to date, surpassing the impressive $148 million earned by the first installment. This success is particularly noteworthy considering the initial controversy surrounding the original Sonic design, which underwent significant alterations during post-production.
