The Sims turns 25 with updates in FreePlay, livestreams and more

The Sims franchise celebrates its 25th anniversary this year! To mark this milestone, EA is launching a series of celebrations across all platforms, including significant updates to mobile versions.

The Sims, initially conceived as a SimCity spin-off, revolutionized gaming by offering unprecedented control over the lives of simulated individuals. Players guide their Sims through life's milestones, from childhood to adulthood, marriage, careers, parenthood, and ultimately, death. Mobile Celebrations:

The Sims FreePlay features the "FreePlay 2000" update, a Y2K-themed throwback experience. This includes new live events and a "25 Days of Gifting" promotion. The Sims Mobile is also offering two free gifts to players during its birthday week, commencing March 4th.
