Rosa's Book Location in KCD2 Revealed

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, missing certain side tasks can lead to permanent failure, and finding Rosa's book is one such task that you won't want to overlook. To unlock the "Rosa's Book" side quest, you first need to complete "Via Argentum" and start "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family with Vavak, either through force or persuasion, you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She'll share information about a secret passage into Maleshov, which you can use to rescue Hans. It's during this conversation that Rosa asks you to retrieve a book for her. Make sure to inquire about the specific book and commit to bringing it back to her to initiate the side quest.

Remember, you can only complete this task while on the "Taking French Leave" quest. Leaving Maleshov with Hans without the book will cause the quest to fail, and you'll miss the chance to romance Rosa. Fortunately, the book is conveniently located on your path to Hans' room.

Upon entering Maleshov, head to the largest tower where Hans is located at the top. Use the side stairs to enter the building. Once inside, you'll find another set of stairs and a small kitchen nearby. Hide in the kitchen until the guards on the upper level leave the tower.

Next, quietly ascend the stairs to a room where Lady Ofka is seated, facing the fireplace. Sneak up behind her, knock her out, and take the keys from her body, the keys from the podium, and the sword from the chest in her room. It's in this room where you'll find Rosa's book. Look to the right of the fireplace in the window alcove, where a red book awaits. Pick it up, and your objective updates to return the book to Rosa.

While you're in the vicinity, don't forget to grab another sword from the chest in the adjacent room. This will save time later when you meet Hans, as you'll need two weapons for him and his unexpected guest. After securing the book and the extra sword, proceed to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Although Hans is initially reluctant to use the passageway, you can advance towards romancing him by choosing the heart dialogue option, provided you did the same in Trosky. Then, make your way to the stables on the north side of Maleshov, knocking out and hiding guards as necessary. Clear a path, signal Hans, and ensure he reaches the stables safely.

Once you open the gate, another cutscene will play, marking the end of the quest. After it concludes, return to Kuttenberg City and stop by Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's book, completing this important side quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
