Pokemon GO Announces Two Legendary Debuts for the Tour: Unova Event

Get ready, Pokémon GO trainers! Black and White Kyurem are finally arriving in Pokémon GO as part of the global GO Tour: Unova event, scheduled for March 1st and 2nd. This highly anticipated duo will be available in raids, offering players a chance to catch both their standard and shiny forms. The event also introduces special event backgrounds inspired by the original Pokémon Black and White games.

The arrival of Black and White Kyurem fulfills a long-standing wish for many fans. While a surprise early release occurred in 2023, their official addition to the game has been eagerly awaited. Their potential impact on the game's meta adds to the excitement.

The GO Tour: Unova event, running from 10 AM to 6 PM local time on March 1st and 2nd, provides the perfect setting for their debut. This Unova-focused event makes the Kyurem additions a fitting and logical inclusion.

Beyond simply catching them, trainers can further enhance their Kyurem experience through fusion. Black Kyurem can be fused with Zekrom, requiring 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy. Similarly, White Kyurem fuses with Reshiram using 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy. These fusions unlock unique attacks (Freeze Shock for Black Kyurem's fusion, Ice Burn for White Kyurem's fusion) and are reversible at no cost. The necessary fusion energy is earned by defeating Kyurem in raids.

Completing these fusions also unlocks exclusive event backgrounds themed after Pokémon Black and White. Unlocking both fusions grants access to a third, unique background. With the GO Tour: Unova event fast approaching, trainers have a thrilling few weeks ahead filled with exciting new content.
