Pokémon GO’s Final Strike: GO Battle Week will Debut Urshifu and Gigantamax Machamp

As the Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO draws to a close, the Final Strike: GO Battle Week is set to make waves starting May 21st, 2025, and running through May 27th. This week is your chance to bring your Kubfu's journey to a triumphant conclusion by evolving it into the legendary Urshifu in either the Single Strike or Rapid Strike form, depending on your battle strategy.

To unlock the Single Strike style, ensure Kubfu is your buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style during Final Strike: GO Battle Week, follow the same steps but target 30 Water-types instead. Additionally, a Special Research will be available until June 3rd, 2025, continuing the seasonal storyline. This research offers rewards like Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with themed Pokémon such as Charcadet, complete with a Special Background.

May 25th Is a Special Day

Mark your calendars for May 25th, as it's the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. From 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, you can participate in Gigantamax Machamp's debut in six-star Max Battles. During this event, you'll enjoy several bonuses: you'll only need to travel one-fourth the normal distance to earn Max Particles, your Max Particle storage will increase to 1,600, and all Power Spots will host Gigantamax Battles. Moreover, you'll earn 8× Max Particles from these battles and gain the ability to make two extra Special Trades.

Don't overlook the opportunity to collect Max Mushrooms. These items temporarily double the damage of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. You can stack multiple mushrooms to extend the duration, though the power boost remains consistent.
