Nintendo has announced an exciting Nintendo Direct event dedicated to the Nintendo Switch, scheduled for tomorrow, March 27, at 7 a.m. PT. This livestream will run for approximately 30 minutes and focus exclusively on upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch. Fans should note that Nintendo has explicitly stated there will be no updates regarding the Nintendo Switch 2 during this presentation. Instead, those updates are slated for a separate event on April 2 at 6 a.m. PT.

With the Nintendo Switch having sold an impressive 150.86 million units, it remains a significant platform for video game publishers, developers, and Nintendo itself. Even as the anticipation builds for the Switch 2, the current Switch still has a robust lineup of games on the horizon. Fans can look forward to titles like Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Professor Layton and the New World of Steam, both slated for release in 2025. Additionally, Pokémon Legends: Z-A is set to launch on the Switch later this year. Another highly anticipated game, Hollow Knight: Silksong, originally announced for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Nintendo Switch, is expected to be compatible with both the original Switch and the upcoming Switch 2, thanks to its backward compatibility.

This week's Nintendo Direct could serve as a grand finale for the Switch, celebrating its eight-year legacy and revealing the final lineup of exclusive titles before the transition to the Switch 2. However, Nintendo might have some surprises in store, making this an event not to be missed.
