Ninja Gaiden Returns: Announces Fourth Installment, Remasters Second Game for Today

Developer_Direct showcased more than just DOOM: The Dark Ages; the highly anticipated Ninja Gaiden 4 also made a splash. Set for an autumn 2025 release, the game promises a thrilling return to the action-packed slasher gameplay fans love.

The reveal trailer highlighted Ryu Hayabusa's return as the protagonist, navigating a stunning cyberpunk city drenched in perpetual toxic rain. New mechanics, such as swift traversal using wires and rails, were showcased, adding a fresh dimension to the classic Ninja Gaiden formula. Players will confront waves of augmented soldiers and terrifying creatures, all while striving to break an ancient curse plaguing the megacity.

Adding to the excitement, a significant remaster of Ninja Gaiden 2 was also unveiled. Already available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S (including Game Pass), this UE5-powered remaster boasts completely overhauled character models, visual effects, and environments. Furthermore, it incorporates elements from later games in the series, even adding three extra playable characters.
