Project NET: A Girls’ Frontline Successor
Initially announced on December 27th, 2024, by Sunborn Network (the creators of Girls’ Frontline), Project NET underwent its first localized test in SEA countries (Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines) from January 9th to January 16th, 2025.
Building upon the success of the original Girls’ Frontline (a popular strategy RPG gacha game launched in 2016, which has since spawned an anime series and other games), and its recent sequel, Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium (released December 5th, 2024), Project NET promises a familiar aesthetic and characters for existing fans, while offering a fresh third-person shooter experience.
While no official release date has been announced, Project NET is currently planned for release on iOS and Android, based on the devices used in its initial tests.
