Mask Around is the sequel to one of the strangest roguelikes of all time
Mask Around: A Gooey Sequel That Packs a Punch
Mask Around, the sequel to 2020's quirky roguelike platformer Mask Up, is now available on Google Play. This time, the signature yellow ooze returns, but with a twist: you'll be engaging in both run-and-gun action and close-quarters brawling.
Remember the original Mask Up, where you evolved from a simple puddle of yellow goo into a powerful, gooey behemoth? Well, developer Rouli has upped the ante. While Mask Up focused primarily on 2D brawling, Mask Around incorporates 2D shooting mechanics, allowing players to seamlessly switch between ranged combat and melee attacks.
Your goo powers remain crucial, but now you have weapons to fall back on when your goo supply runs low, adding a strategic layer to gameplay. Managing your goo meter is still vital, especially during challenging boss encounters.

More Than Just Goo
Mask Around represents a significant evolution from its predecessor. It retains the core gameplay of Mask Up but significantly expands upon it, offering a more polished experience with improved graphics. The strategic element of managing both your goo and your weaponry adds depth and replayability. While an iOS release hasn't been announced, Android users can download and experience the enhanced gameplay immediately.
